What if I told you that influence and knowledge don’t have to first be acknowledged by others in order to be valid? Both influence and knowledge are subjective and empirical in definition but looking at our lives and the successes we have already achieved, it’s pretty obvious that we already have some degree of both. It is the mindset of focusing on one aspect – either influence or knowledge, but an abdication of the other – that holds back experts from stepping into their acclaim as thought leaders.
